Core Strengthening
Our core strengthening program is very dynamic. We use patented equipment to achieve core strengthening and stabilization in extremely hard to target spinal muscles. We use different pieces of equipment to target different groups of core muscles.
The global core muscle strengthening program exercises the larger support muscles called the flexors and extensors. This approach helps patients with bending, lifting, exercising or any other movements that are higher impact. Keep in mind, you still need to use proper technique when lifting heavy objects to take the stress off the low back and prevent injury. Always bend at the knees and keep your back as straight as possible when lifting.
Another program that utilizes our patented equipment is very unique in that it can greatly improve the patients range of motion and significantly reduce pain for basic movements like bending or twisting. With this therapy we target the immediate muscles (Multifidus) surrounding the spine. This type of therapy activates the Multifidus muscles and allows the larger muscles groups to become less involved. This enables the stiffness and muscular pain to lessen or be completely eliminated because we are no longer overworking our global muscles.

These programs are great as stand alone therapy or in conjunction with chiropractic care. All of our spinal decompression patients are strongly encouraged to add this to their program of care to assist with stabilization and strengthening as the disc begins to heal.
